Space adventures with WOW Toys - and win your own Ronnie Rocket!

34
The Pickle has been busy testing out Ronnie Rocket from WOW Toys this week.  A bright yellow rocket, Ronnie has lots of cool features that preschool aged boys and girls will love...

* A happy, smiley face at the top
* A robot on the front with a pull cord to trigger a countdown
* Vibration and a visual countdown of the numbers 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
* Lid opens to reveal cockpit
* A removable astronaut
* And to make mums and dads happy - rubber pads on the bottom to stop the floor being scratched!

Here's Ronnie in action...

The Pickle loves this toy and in the last few days it has accompanied him everywhere - including to the shops and to preschool for show and tell.  It seems like a well made toy, chunky with tough plastic, not cheap and flimsy, yet it's not too heavy and bulky for little people to pick up and carry around.

We bought another WOW toy from Hamleys almost two years ago and it's been very well played with, indoors and outdoors (even in the paddling pool!) and survived with hardly a scratch.  The Pickle has enjoyed playing with the two toys together and is very excited to have two matching spacemen!

The recommended age range for Ronnie Rocket is 18 months - 5 years.  From 18 months it can help to develop motor skills, from 2 years learning and number recognition and from 3 years it is ideal for role playing and storytelling.  I'm not sure The Pickle would still play with this at 5 years old, but only time will tell!  For now, I'll leave you with a little story we made...
