The Princess wore a 'Grey Frill Wool Rich Coat' from Next, over her dress for The Pickle's Christening.
The coat
complemented The Princess' dress really well and kept her warm and cosy on the walk to church and back. It was generally a pleasant, sunny day but it
did get quite cold in the wind.
I opted for
the 5-6 years size (The Princess is 6 but quite petite). The coat is quite generous and will definitely last all
through the Winter and probably Spring too!
It has 2 pockets on the front, ideal for keeping mittens in or
collecting leaves which is my daughter’s main use for pockets at the moment (I usually
discover these after they’ve been through the wash!)
I love the
frill detail on the collar and cuffs and the chunky buttons. The coat is ideal for the Winter party season,
but would also look lovely dressed down with jeans.
It’s made
of 60% wool so is quite heavy but not uncomfortable to wear. It’s also fully lined in a dusky pink
polyester satin fabric, so is easy to slip over a party dress and won’t catch
on any beads or delicate fabrics.
