Have a Wild Half Term in Hampshire!

If you live in Hampshire, or are planning to visit, here are are few wild days out you could try...

Marwell Wildlife

(Situated near Winchester.  Family ticket £50)

A 140-acre park, home to over 180 exotic and endangered species, picnic areas, cafe, gift shop, play areas and a train.  A great day out, with plenty to do, no chance of the kids getting bored!  They currently have a Halloween Festival running until 30th October, with an eerie maze and the chance to carve a pumpkin.

New Forest Wildlife Park

(near Ashurst, Southampton.  Family ticket £29.50)

25 acres of woodland and wildlife, including Otters, Wolves, Owls, Deer and Lynx.  There is also a tearoom and gift shop.  Although it is a much smaller park than Marwell, the price reflects this and there is still lots to see.

If Marwell and NFWP don't suit your budget, you can still have a great day out in the New Forest and it wont cost you a penny.  There are always ponies, donkeys and cows scattered around, and if you visit Bolderwood or Burley look out for the deer!
